The 2006 Downham Market Summer Ball
Was held on Friday 16th June in Downham Market Town Hall and as in 2005 it was a Black Tie
Event.
The event had completely sold
out months in advance and was attended by 170 guests.
For the second year running we were fortunate to have glorious weather for the evening.
Guests
were greeted on the Town Square entrance to the Town Hall and having been given a traditional
Hawaiian Lei by the committee members were entertained by the Havana Boys Steel
Band
until it was time to go into the Hall for the meal.
Catering
Sally's Classic Catering provided a full meal with waitress service, with a
Tropical themed menu.

Lemon Cheesecake or Chocolate & Kiwi Pavlova
Entertainment
Dancing to our well known local band Kenny and The Strollers went on after the
meal until the end of
the evening.
Fund Raising
Profits of £2000 from the evening were split evenly between 10 local charities.
